Sesame Street Episode 5008 A Recipe for Dance

A Recipe for Dance

Nina is excited to host a dance class today with students Zoe, Rudy, Ovejita, Alan, and Chris. Zoe assists in explaining that the dance follows a pattern of steps, likening it to the pattern on Chris' shirt. Nina starts the lesson by teaching everyone three fundamental moves in this order: wave, slide, and swirl. Chris and Rudy have a tough time keeping up and sneak away, unnoticed by the others.

At Hooper's Store, Rudy contemplates quitting the class, feeling he can't get the moves right. Similarly, Chris struggles to remember the pattern in which the moves are performed. They decide to help each other recall the pattern and practice the dance together flawlessly. Zoe, who has been searching for them, finds them and brings them back to the class.

Reunited at the class, everyone sings about creating a "Pattern for Dance" and performs the dance in unison. Zoe, Rudy, and Chris sign off as they continue dancing.

They encounter some monkeys, and to drive them away, they need to solve a fruit pattern. Next, they come across tickling fog and must decipher another food pattern. Cookie-ness realizes the pattern is now based on shapes, and instead of using Pita for one of the shapes, they opt for a clock. Cookie-ness is relieved that she won't have to participate in the games again, only for Finicky to inform him that they're making a third movie.

Elmo and Abby, dressed as astronauts, sing about finding the number of the day by counting Martians. Today, there are 15.
