Grouch University
During the night, Gordon greets the viewer while taking some trash to Oscar the Grouch. He discovers Oscar at his trash can, using his laptop to participate in an online course in Grouchology from P.U. On the video feed, a group of Pesties introduce the renowned teacher, Nikola Messla, and they all sing their school song. Professor Messla poses Oscar's first Grouchology question - which stinky smell can make people leave? To find the answer, he must conduct a Grouch experiment, adhering to three rules: observe, record his findings, and most importantly, annoy someone in the process. Eager to begin, Oscar sets off to experiment.
Oscar observes from a distance as Leela and Gina play checkers. He directs the stench of an onion and old cheese toward them, but they remain seated. He then brings out his secret weapon - his stinky socks - which successfully drives them away. Oscar reports his findings to Messla, who gives him his final question, and the most crucial one - what sound is loud enough to wake up Maria and Luis? Excited, Oscar hurries off to find the answer.
In their bedroom, Oscar begins rattling cans. The noise wakes up a puzzled Maria, but not Luis. Oscar starts a "Grouch vuvuzela solo," which only wakes Maria again, making her furious. She yells at him so loudly that Luis finally wakes up. Oscar takes note of this on his notepad and departs. Confused, Luis asks what's happening, and Maria promises to explain in the morning.
Having successfully completed his final experiment, Oscar receives his B.O. degree in Grouchology. After they sing him a graduation song, they have a loud, obnoxious celebration. Elmo and Abby sign off as they are repelled by the smell of Oscar's stinky socks.
