Pigs for Another Day
Chris eagerly awaits the arrival of the Three Little Pigs, who are building a doghouse as a surprise gift for his friend Virgil. Unfortunately, only one Little Pig shows up; the other two have caught colds. The Little Pig explains that they need three pigs for the job, but Chris pleads for her to find a solution, as Virgil is visiting today. She enlists the help of Grover and Rosita, who don pig snouts for the task. The Little Pig catches a cold as well, so Cookie Monster steps in when promised a cookie.
The "Pigs for a Day" don their uniforms and construction gear, ready to work. Rosita examines the plans while the other monsters start working. Their project doesn't match the plans at all, so Grover considers telling Chris they've failed. Rosita urges them to keep trying. Chris is surprised to see the monsters working instead of the pigs, but they assure him they can finish the job. Cookie holds the roof in place while the other two "pigs" complete the house. Rosita senses something is wrong, though Grover thinks it's fine. They soon realize they've forgotten a door, trapping Cookie inside. Before they can add one, Cookie bursts out, collapsing the structure. Grover wants to quit, but Rosita insists they keep trying until they succeed.
Chris checks on the monsters, who have finished the doghouse, only it's the size on the plans, not suitable for a full-grown dog. Virgil, a dog, arrives, excited for his surprise. They promise to make a larger version and Cookie devours the tiny one. The monster-pigs sing a song as they assemble the new doghouse. Virgil loves the result and thanks the "Pigs for a Day" for their efforts. Grover signs off as he prepares another construction project, confused when he sees three Cookie Monsters carrying the same board.
