Leela shows Elmo a pig she created from a plastic bottle. Oscar comes to collect his weekly lint ball, but one of the washing machines starts malfunctioning. Leela considers getting rid of it, but Elmo reminds her she dislikes throwing things away. Luis arrives to fix the machine and asks Elmo to find a wrench that looks like the letter C. After Elmo locates the wrench, Luis tightens a bolt on the machine, but water sprays in his face, and the machine continues making noise.

Luis decides to replace the water hose and needs a new nut shaped like a hexagon. After fixing the machine, it appears to be working, but soon starts shaking and moving around the Laundromat, much to Oscar's enjoyment. Leela unplugs the machine, and Luis inspects its interior, removing seven items, including the Teeny Little Super Guy. Leela tests the machine again by adding clothes, but it continues to malfunction. Luis admits defeat, and Leela wants to dispose of it until Elmo suggests repurposing it. Elmo announces that the Laundromat now has a new Grouch messing machine. Grouches, including Grundgetta, flock to the Laundromat to have their clothes ruined, making the best out of the situation.
