Sesame Street Episode 4164
Leela's Sesame Street video
Season 39 (2008)
Heidi Klum visits Sesame Street
In Episode 4164 of Sesame Street, the street scenes begin with Leela welcoming the viewer and showing off her new video camera. She plans to make a video of her new home to show her parents in India. Leela starts by filming the laundromat where she works and has everyone inside wave at the camera.
Next, Leela heads to Hooper's Store, where Alan serves fresh-baked cookies to Prairie Dawn. Prairie wants to share the cookies with her friend, a letter O. They decide to include the O in Leela's video and look for something that starts with O. As they find the oatmeal cookies, Cookie Monster appears, devours the cookies, and chases after the O, thinking it's a cookie. Unfortunately, Leela doesn't manage to capture this on camera.
Leela then comes across Elmo and Rosita preparing a candle for Jack (of Jack Be Nimble) to jump over. Leela attempts to film the jump, but Elmo and Rosita need help reading the rhyme. After Leela reads it, Jack jumps over the candlestick and accidentally towards Leela. Jack leaves immediately, and Leela continues her search for something else to film.
Leela overhears Big Bird having a meeting with the Birdketeers, who sing the alphabet song while flapping their wings. Leela asks them to sing it again for the camera, but the cuckoo clock chimes, signaling the end of the meeting.
Feeling upset that she hasn't captured anything for her parents, Leela is tricked by Oscar the Grouch, who pretends to let her film him but doesn't come out of his trash can. Leela sits on the steps, feeling sad. Meanwhile, Alan gathers Elmo, Rosita, Prairie, Big Bird, and the O to come to Leela so she can film them all together. This turns into a quarrel as Cookie Monster continues chasing the O. In the end, Leela is happy to show her parents the most amazing part of Sesame Street: her friends.
The episode begins with the song "Say Cheese," which is followed by a Muppets and Celebrity segment where Heidi Klum and Elmo (along with Elmo's shoe) exchange compliments to demonstrate the meaning of the word.
A remake of the song "Dressed Up" is included. Big Bird finds the letter of the day in his mailbox, which transitions into the next segment. In a film sequence, a family discovers a huge letter O, and in another film, a man break-dances inside the letter O.
The "Murray Has a Little Lamb" segment features Murray's lamb, Ovejita, leading him to a music school where kids learn to sing and play instruments. A cartoon segment shows birds on musical notes playing "Frere Jacques" and colorizing the environment.
In a Muppets segment, Abby Cadabby, Rosita, and Zoe play and reminisce about when Abby first arrived on Sesame Street. A film segment narrated by a girl tells the story of her friend, Billy, who swims with dolphins.
The Count pulls the lottery number of the day - the number 8. An ornate 8 animation shows 8s strolling through a gate and posing in other remarkable places. Another animation features eight apples growing on a tree.
In the "Global Grover" segment, Grover arrives wearing an Indian vest and holding an Indian board game called Carrom. He visits his Indian-American friend, James, in Queens. The song "Count Me In" is included.
A Muppets and Animation segment features the Twiddlebugs taking a family picture. Finally, the Muppets segment "Elmo's World: Cameras" is presented.
