Sesame Street Episode 4211
Jack Grows His Own Beanstalk
Season 40 (2009-2010)

Leela and Telly welcome the viewers when they hear someone moaning in distress. Jack, from "Jack and the Beanstalk," approaches them, expressing his sadness. He explains that he doesn't have a beanstalk yet and doesn't know how to get one. He shows them the cow he has and claims he must figure out the problem on his own. To indirectly help him, Leela and Telly decide to give him some clues. His first clue is that he must trade his cow for something that grows in the ground.

Much to their disbelief, Jack returns with a duck and tries forcing it into the ground. They tell him he's wrong, and all begin sobbing until Leela snaps them out of it. She gives him his next clue: it grows in the ground and rhymes with "jeans."

Jack returns, having traded his duck for some tambourines. "Interesting rhyme," Telly remarks. Jack feels he's failed again, but Telly convinces him to press onward for the sake of his story. Leela and Telly huddle and come up with his final clue: it grows in the ground, rhymes with "jeans," and is very little.

Jack finally returns with some beans! Leela retrieves a pot and watering can from the garden and shows him how to plant the seeds. She tells him it will take a while before it starts growing, but when the ground begins to shake, she remembers the beans are magic and grow a lot faster. Suddenly, a large beanstalk shoots from the pot. Jack, Leela, and Telly then sing about the greatest green beanstalk that he ever grew.

Telly asks Jack if he's ready to climb the beanstalk. Jack thinks that would harm his precious plant and decides to start a beanstalk farm instead. Leela wonders if there's a giant at the top when a loud, booming voice answers her question from above.

In a Muppets / Celebrity segment, Debi Mazar looks for something humongous, and a large dragon arrives to help. In a yoga class, a woman makes the number 1 with her body in another film segment.
