Sesame Street Episode 4915 Rudy Rides the Bus

Rudy Rides the Bus

Elmo and Rudy come across an empty refrigerator box and brainstorm various ways they can use it for play. While contemplating their options, they spot Rosita waiting for a city bus to meet her abuela. Rosita shares her knowledge of how buses work before boarding her bus, which sparks an idea for Elmo and Rudy. They decide to transform the box into a city bus, with Elmo as the driver and Rudy responsible for making "beeping" sounds. Soon, a horse joins their fun and requests a ride to Hooper's Store, leading them to sing "The Wheels on the Bus" as they make their way inside the store. Alan gently reminds them that buses don't belong indoors, causing the horse to leave. Then Zoe arrives, pretending to go to school, but Elmo and Rudy's bus isn't a school bus. Nina suggests they convert the box into a school bus, which they do, and Zoe happily hops on board. As they continue their journey, they sing "The Wheels on the School Bus" and encourage viewers to create their own pretend buses.

Plan the Play: Elmo replays scenes from the street story, followed by footage of two girls in their own pretend bus.

Abby Cadabby leads the gang in a song to introduce the letter of the day - B.

B is for Bus Driver - a girl talks about riding the bus to a baseball game.

Abby sings "The Wheels on the Bus."

Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck: Cookie Monster and Gonger receive an order from two brothers about to take the bus to their grandfather's for Sunday dinner. They need some cornbread sent over right away, but the Foodie Truck only has a bare corncob. The monsters drive off to the cornfields to retrieve some more corn.

Cookie Monster and friends sing as they wait for the number of the day, which is how many cookies are being baked for him.
