Me Am Cookie Monster
Cookie Monster eagerly awaits as Chris cooks up a fresh batch of cookies. To tide him over, Chris hands him a plate of carrot sticks. While Cookie is enjoying his healthy snack, Mario Lopez from EXTRA Sesame Street arrives to report a shocking story - Cookie Monster is now the Veggie Monster! Despite Cookie's protest, the footage of him eating carrots and Chris' witness account seem to confirm the claim. Cookie tries to salvage his reputation by eating a cookie, but Chris hasn't finished baking and Cookie has already depleted the cookie jar.
Venturing outside Hooper's Store, Cookie runs into Big Bird and Snuffy, who sadly don't have any cookies. Spotting Snuffy's cabbage, Cookie has a bite. Mario appears once again to report on the Veggie Monster's continuing vegetable consumption. Cookie attempts to dispute the claim but is unaware that cabbage is indeed a vegetable. The replayed footage even shows him confessing his love for the leafy green. Big Bird and Snuffy also start referring to him as Veggie Monster and move along.
Presented with a celery snack by Chris, Cookie initially refuses, fearing it would only amplify the situation. However, the green sticks look too tasty to resist, so he disguises himself as a monster named Rose-Marie who adores celery. As he enthusiastically munches the celery with a "Veggie-bunga!", his wig falls off just as Mario reappears to broadcast the incident.
Maria and friends show up, revealing that the video has over a million views on Me Tube. When asked about his feelings, Cookie confesses his frustration. Mario suggests that being a Veggie Monster isn't a bad thing since vegetables are beneficial. Cookie insists that it's not his identity and breaks into a song "Me Am What Me Am", expressing that he will always be a cookie monster, no matter his love for veggies. Maria and the others apologize for their misunderstanding.
Finally, Chris brings out the freshly baked cookies, and Cookie Monster relishes them, proving to Mario and everyone else that he truly is the Cookie Monster. Having finished all the cookies, Cookie Monster starts searching for more.
Abby Cadabby gathers everyone to sing a song introducing the letter of the day - V.
Abby Cadabby joyfully performs "For Broccoli Hurray-Hurrah."
In the latest installment of Cookie's Crumby Pictures, "Aveggies: Age of Bon Bon," Bon Bon threatens Earth with his colossal cookie ship, destroying all the world's vegetables. The Aveggies, a team of heroes, unite to stop him. The strategy is to attract his ship towards Dr. Brownie, who will transform into a green giant and consume the ship. However, Cookie struggles to focus on the ship and ends up eating his teammates' signature items. Once he finally concentrates, he triumphs over Bon Bon's ship and invites the team for shawarma.
Cookie Monster and friends sing as they wait for the number of the day, which is how many cookies are being baked for him. Today's number is 17.
