Elmo, Abby, Chris, and their friends gather excitedly for a special presentation by Mother Goose, played by the vibrant Kate McKinnon. The event, hosted by Telly, unfolds with Mother Goose's arrival, carrying her large, hefty tome of classic nursery rhymes. She recites "Hey Diddle Diddle," magically summoning the characters from the rhyme into their midst, followed by "Little Miss Muffet," complete with Miss Muffet and the Spider.

As the group heads to Hooper's Store for some post-reading snacks, Mother Goose, impressed by Elmo's enthusiasm and kindness during the reading, decides to pen a new nursery rhyme dedicated to him. However, attempts to fit him into pre-existing rhymes prove futile, leaving Elmo disheartened that he might not have a personalized rhyme after all. Mother Goose confesses that her lack of knowledge about Elmo hinders her ability to write his rhyme. Upon hearing Abby's heartfelt description of their friend Elmo, Mother Goose finds inspiration.

Telly presents Mother Goose to the anticipating crowd once more as she recites her freshly composed rhyme "Hey Diddle Donster," a tribute to Elmo's exceptional friendship.

In a lively performance, Elmo and the gang introduce the letter of the day, N, through song and dance.

Humpty Dumpty appears next, emphasizing the letter N for nursery rhyme and reenacting his infamous fall.

A young girl and her teddy bear embark on a fantastical journey among the stars in a rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."

Rosita stumbles upon Elmo diligently practicing his name. They sing a playful rendition of "E-L-M-O," inspired by the tune of "Bingo." The dog from the original song, smitten with Elmo's variation, decides to rename himself Elmo.

Abby takes the stage to perform the classic children's song "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes."

Count von Count and friends engage in a musical number to discover the number of the day - 8.

A musical sequence highlighting Little Miss Muffet's story brings attention to all the instances of the number 8.

The Count renders a performance of “Eight is Great.”
