Sesame Street Episode 5025 A Very Special Fiesta

A Very Special Fiesta

Abby, Rudy, and Charlie visit Hooper's Store, where Grover is managing things while Alan is away. Rosita arrives with a list of items needed for a fiesta she and her abuela are organizing for a visiting friend. Rosita's abuela calls her to meet their friend at the bus stop, so Rosita leaves the list with Grover. However, Grover struggles to understand the list since it's written in Spanish. Luckily, Rudy knows some Spanish from his mom and helps decipher the list.

The first item on the list is 20 bags of hielo (ice). The friends wonder who the special guest is that requires so much ice. They manage to find 10 bags of ice and count them in Spanish. Abby uses her magic to duplicate the bags, giving them 20, and they count the new bags in Spanish as well. Next, they need 40 cans of atún (tuna); Grover misunderstands and thinks it means "a tune" and starts singing. Abby uses her magic again to provide the cans of tuna, while Grover laments having to open them all. Lastly, the list calls for músicos (musicians). Rudy rushes off to find some, while Grover believes he can find them too and leaves. Abby and Charlie review the list to ensure everything is accounted for and start preparing for the fiesta.

In the yard, Abby and Charlie create a festive atmosphere using ice and a large bowl of tuna. Grover returns with Gladys the Cow, who contributes the "moo" in "músicos." Rudy comes back with actual musicians. Rosita and her abuela soon arrive with their special guest - Polly the Penguin (Pam Arciero) from the South Pole. Polly is impressed with the fiesta and teaches everyone a unique penguin dance. The celebration continues as everyone signs off.
