Sesame Street Episode 5017 Magic Spell

Magic Spell

Elmo and Abby watch as Chris writes new signs for Hooper's Store when a distraught prince rushes in. Introducing himself as Prince Billy, he shares his dilemma: a fortune teller (Pam Arciero) revealed his true love, Snoozing Beauty, who is under a spell. After searching far and wide, he found her on Sesame Street. However, something prevents their happily ever after. Prince Billy shows Elmo and Abby where Snoozing Beauty is sleeping in the yard, along with his many unsuccessful attempts to wake her with loud noises. Biff and Sully arrive to do some jackhammering, which fails to rouse her. Prince Billy fears he'll never succeed, so Abby casts a spell to discover how to break Snoozing Beauty's enchantment. Abby's magic reveals the solution: Prince Billy must write his name on the tablet. Unfortunately, Prince Billy is unable to do so, prompting Elmo and Abby to take him to the community center for help.

At the community center, Prince Billy practices writing his name on a marker board. Initially, he writes "Dilly" instead of "Billy," but Elmo and Abby guide him through the process, helping him remember the shape of the letter B. Abby conjures some dotted lines in the shape of a B for the prince to follow, boosting his confidence. Prince Billy successfully writes his name on the magic tablet, waking Snoozing Beauty. Grateful for their help, Prince Billy invites Snoozing Beauty to "live happily ever after and stuff" before joining her for a long-awaited lunch. As they eat, Prince Billy recounts the story of how he broke her spell, and Abby and Elmo sign off.
