Elmo the Engineer
Elmo creates a mini city in his living room, impressing Louie with his engineering skills. When it's time for Elmo's bath, Louie asks him to clean up his toys. Elmo decides to engineer a device to pick up the toys for him. After several attempts using a tennis racket and a drum pedal, he eventually creates a successful lever with a golf club to launch the toys into a basket. Guy Smiley turns the whole process into "The Toy Pick-Up Challenge." In the end, Louie praises Elmo's engineering abilities and suggests they could use a new device to clean up the game show's confetti.
Plan the Play: Elmo replays scenes from the street plot, followed by footage of a boy who engineers a way to pick up paperclips from the floor.
