Big Bird, Elmo, Telly, and Abby are all set to create art with Nina, who encourages them to unleash their imaginations. Abby magically summons her seemingly odd art supplies, causing Telly to question their relevance to art. Nina suggests they start with crayons, which everyone, except Telly, skillfully uses to create drawings. Abby surprises everyone by constructing a rainbow castle out of physical crayons, much to Telly's disbelief. Nina, however, appreciates Abby's innovative approach, emphasizing that there's no single correct way to make art.

Telly struggles with his crayons, ultimately crushing them in frustration. Nina proposes using paints next, showcasing the joy of mixing colors. Despite his previous setback, Telly is hopeful about painting. Abby finds herself in a quandary, unsure what to paint with. Telly is puzzled - shouldn't a brush be used for painting? Abby, though, prefers to think outside the box. Coincidentally, Grover arrives, selling rubber chickens. Abby purchases one, using it as her paintbrush, and though Telly objects, Nina is intrigued by her unique technique.

They all come together in a cheerful song, expressing the numerous ways to create art, which motivates Telly. He gathers a heap of miscellaneous items, turning them into a fascinating sculpture he titles "Shark Moon Rising Over the Soup Pyramid."

Next, Elmo and his friends energetically introduce the letter of the day - 'A', followed by a lively song and dance.

"Murray Has a Little Lamb" presents Ovejita leading Murray to a secret 'escuela', hinted by a paintbrush. They end up in an art school, engaging in creating a variety of art pieces with the other children. Together, Murray and Ovejita participate in drawing and painting colorful fish.

Finally, Count von Count, along with his friends, presents their musical routine to reveal the number of the day - 18.
