Sesame Street The Best of Elmo

Sesame Street the Best of Elmo is the first special of series was released in 1994. It is part of the "My Sesame Street Home Video" series. Special includes a compilation of songs, videos and celebrity scenes featuring Elmo. 

There are four The Best of Elmo series. The first one was released in 1994, The Best of Elmo 2 was in 2001, The Best of Elmo 3 was in 2015, and The Best of Elmo 4 was released in 2018.

In The Best of Elmo, Elmo prepares for the "Monster Art Show", however he should choose only one of his drawings. He demonstrates the drawings to his friends, Elmo's drawings are so good due to this his friends all like his drawings. Elmo gives drawings to his friends.

SCENE 1: Scene begins with Elmo, when he is walking, he bumps Maria accidentally. He drops drawings. Maria helps him to get them from the floor. Elmo expresses her to prepare for the Monster Art Show, and needs her help to choose the best picture. When Maria looks the pictures.

MUPPETS: Ernie appears, and Muppets part begins. Ernie and Elmo sing a song. The name of the song is "One Fine Face." which is about bout the parts that make up. 

SCENE 2: Maria chooses the picture that she like most. She asks him how he can draw these good pictures, Elmo's answer is clear; he says they are the product of his imagination.

MUPPETS: Elmo has a song about this, he sings the song, and the name of it is “In Your Imagination”. 

SCENE 3: Elmo and Ruthie appear on the scene they look Elmo's drawings and talk about them. 

MUPPETS: In Sesame Street The Best of Elmo goes on with a song again. It is "Happy Tappin' with Elmo” Elmo waits for Savion to begin tap dance class. Elmo decides to make believe he is a professional tap dancer.

CELEBRITY: Julia Roberts, who is an actress, is celebrity guest in Sesame Street The Best of Elmo. Julia Roberts and Elmo demonstrate afraid.

SCENE 4: Elmo and Ruthie goes on talking about drawings. Ruthie asks some questions from pictures and she wants to learn numbers in the picture. Ruthie finds one of the number three. One with two backup singers. Elmo expresses the other is about the number 5, although there is no number on the picture.

MUPPETS: Elmo sings "Elmo's Jive Five". It is about number five.

MUPPETS: Herry Monster and Prairie Dawn are on The Best of Elmo. Herry Monster, Prairie Dawn and Elmo sing a song. It is about number three. 

SCENE 5: Elmo is at the park, he thinks about the pictures that he gives to his friends. Zoe appears on the scene and looks his pictures. She asks one by one if she can keep them as they go down the line. Especially two pictures stand out.one is with Elmo and Telly, and other one with Elmo and Whoopi.

CELEBRITY: Whoopi Goldberg is another celebrity at Sesame Street The Best of Elmo. She is an actress and comedian. Elmo likes Whoopie's skin that is pretty brown and her bouncy hair. She likes Elmo's red fur. Elmo thinks that trade is a good idea, but Whoopi refuses this idea.

MUPPETS: Telly and Elmo are seen, they sing a song, the name of the song is "Heavy and Light." ıt is about the difference.

SCENE 6: Looking after two pictures, Zoe realizes two more pictures and look them. One of them with a face and the other with trees. Elmo feels bummed, when the number of pictures decrease. 

MUPPETS: In this part of the Best of Elmo, Elmo again sings. It is about "The Sound That's in the Air."

SCENE 7: Zoe leaves from scene and also she gets the pictures she likes. Elmo stays alone and he has only one picture left. He shows it. It is a drawing of Elmo playing the piano.

MUPPETS: Elmo writes his own song and then he sings it for Snuffy and Big Bird. They likes this and they wish that they had their own songs. Elmo lets them insert their own names into the lyrics, the new name of the song is "Big Bird's Song" and "Snuffy's Song" in the Best of Elmo.

SCENE 8: Elmo has only one picture and he goes to join "Monster Art Show". He hopes that one picture is liked. He meets Honker who is sad because Elmo does not give any picture him, he sees other friends have Elmo's pictures and this situation makes him sad and feels left out. 

Elmo surprised and needs to decide what he should do now. He thinks friendship is more important than competition and gives last picture to Honker. There is no picture left in Elmo, and now Monster Art Show is impossible for him. 

Elmo goes to 123 Sesame Street. Everybody he meet today is there. He looks at his pictures, and explains his problem. They decide to give their pictures back, and Maria tells Elmo that he can give back the pictures to them after the Monster Art Show. 

Elmo is so happy now and thanks them a lot. But now he has a problem: which is the best picture? They get back together and try to choose the best picture.
