Sesame Street The Best of Elmo 2
Sesame Street The Best of Elmo is the second special of series was released in 2010.Special includes a compilation of songs, videos and celebrity scenes featuring Elmo. There are four The Best of Elmo series. The first one was released in 1994, The Best of Elmo 2 was in 2001, The Best of Elmo 3 was in 2015, The Best of Elmo 4 was released in 2018.
In The Best of Elmo 2, Elmo meets a "Memorybot" who is losing his power and he needs memories to power up again. Elmo shares his memories with the robot with clips.
SCENE 1: Elmo walks on the Sesame Street, he sees a robot and wants to play with it, but he cannot play, because the robot is low on energy. It cannot move. The robot says he is Memorybot and he runs on memories, however he has an insufficient amount. He helps and learns how to work him: think of a memory, and then push the button and the memory will seen on his screen.
MUPPETS / CELEBRITY: Jason Mraz is guest in The Best of Elmo 2. Elmo, Abby, Rosita, Baby Bear, Big Bird and the kids are with him. They sing about being "Outdoors".
MUPPETS: When his father watches him riding his tricycle through the park, Elmo sings Elmo's Riding. Children also join him on their scooters, and a squirrel tries to catch up with them.
SCENE 2: The Memorybot's energy meter increases in power, but he still needs more power. Elmo says that he is able to count on him to help, so the Memory jumps on Elmo and begins counting.
MUPPETS / CELEBRITY: Leslie Feist is celebrity guest in Sesame Street The Best of Elmo 2. She is a singer and songwriter. Feist performs a spoof of her song "1234".
MUPPETS / CELEBRITY: Diane Sawyer, who is a former member of President Nixon's White House administration, is celebrity in The Best of Elmo 2. Diane Sawyer, Zoe and Elmo sing It All Adds Up with other Muppets.
MUPPETS: The Best of Elmo 2 goes on with a performance. Elmo performs Elmo's Ducks which is a Sesame Street song. Elmo plays his guitar backed by his four ducks.
SCENE 3: Elmo and Memorybot talk about memory that provides more energy for Robot, but still this power is not enough for him. Elmo thinks that he should hop, Memorybot accepts it and starts to hop. Elmo enjoys it and says him silly, but he cannot understand because he does not know the meaning of the word. Elmo sings some silly songs to help him.
MUPPETS: Elmo and some Muppets including Zoe, Telly Monster, a Honker, and Baby Bear, sing some silly songs.
MUPPETS / CELEBRITY: Destiny's Child is an American R&B female musical group that is the guest in The Best of Elmo 2. Destiny's Child performs "A New Way to Walk". Grover, Elmo and Zoe are with them on the stage.
SCENE 4: Elmo and the Memorybot walk together, while they walking, they talk about the word of pride, but he does not know meaning of the this word too. Elmo gives him some more visual to help him understand the meaning of the word.
MUPPETS / CELEBRITY: Ray Charles, who was a popular musician, is celebrity guest in Sesame Street The Best of Elmo 2. Elmo sees him while he is playing piano. Ray Charles sings and plays Believe in Yourself.
MUPPETS / CELEBRITY: We see Elmo and David Beckham on the scene. David Beckham explains Elmo the word persistent, it means continuing to exist or occur over a prolonged period. Elmo wants to play game with him.
MUPPETS / CELEBRITY: The Goo Goo Dolls are an American alternative rock band, they are on the scene with Elmo. They sing "Slide (Pride)"
SCENE 5: Elmo asks the Memorybot about alphabet, but he does not know about it. Elmo decides to help him again.
MUPPETS: India.Arie, who is a famous singer, and Elmo appear, and they sing a song, the name of the song is the Alphabet Song.
SCENE 6: Elmo acts as if he's the letter Y, but the Memorybot does not know what it means to do. Elmo shows his direction to his screen.
MUPPETS: Elmo sings a song, the song is about the "Planets, Moon and Stars."
MUPPETS / CELEBRITY: Jack Black is an actor, comedian and musician, He is one of the celebrity guests in The Best of Elmo 2.
SCENE 7: Elmo wants to say his friends about the Memorybot, but Memorybot asks him what friend means, he does not know. Elmo wants to demonstrate him a memory of one of his friends.
MUPPETS / CELEBRITY: Adam Sandler is the last celebrity in Sesame Street the Best of Elmo 2. He makes up a song, its name is Song about Elmo.
SCENE 8: Elmo and Memorybot sing Do the Robot. After that, a man comes, he is relieved when he finds the Memorybot. He is Dr. Sigmund Sillystuff who is the creator of the Memorybot, and he expresses that he made it the Robot to help him with his own bad memory. At the end of the scene they start to dance the robot dance.
