The Formation Process of Stray Kids

Stray Kids, a South Korean boy band, has rapidly gained popularity since its formation in 2017. The group was created by JYP Entertainment, a renowned entertainment company in South Korea. The group consists of eight members. The formation of Stray Kids began in 2017 when JYP Entertainment, a prominent South Korean entertainment company, decided to create a new boy band. The company held a reality show called "Stray Kids" to finalize the group's lineup. The show, which aired on Mnet, featured trainees from JYP Entertainment competing against each other to earn a spot in the final group. The trainees' performances were evaluated by a panel of judges, including JYP Entertainment's founder, Park Jin-young, and other industry professionals. After a series of challenges and evaluations, the final lineup of Stray Kids was confirmed with nine members: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, I.N, and Woojin. The group's leader, Bang Chan, played a significant role in the formation process, as he was involved in selecting and training the members. Unfortunately, in October 2019, Woojin left the group due to personal reasons, and Stray Kids continued as an eight-member group.
