Elmo’s Christmas Countdown is a Christmas special episode. First, it was aired on 23 December 2007 on ABC. This special episode is also filmed with the title ‘Elmo’s Christmas Spectacular’

Stiller the Elf and Stan the Snowball are talking about the Christmas. Stiller told that one year Christmas almost didn’t happen. Stiller says also that Oscar the Grouch is enjoying Christmas than anyone else. That’s why he wants to give Oscar, the official Christmas-Counter-Downer.

Highlights

           Sheryl Crow sings "It's Almost Christmas" together with Elmo and some other Muppets. They are singing and Muppets are dancing happily. Cake and sugar candy are singing too. Sheryl and Elmo wishing each other Merry Christmas. After Sheryl is gone, comes Stiller the Elf. He wants to choose the lucky person to countdown Christmas. He thinks that Oscar the Grouch is suitable for this job. Oscar doesn’t understand what is a Christmas Countdown. Stiller clear that without a countdown, Christmas can’t come.

           Oscar says that he hates Christmas and he sings with Stiller ‘I Hate Christmas’. Then, he destroyed the Christmas counter downer. Stiller thinks that Christmas is not coming to this year and he is very sad. But Elmo has an idea. He makes a wish to a Christmas star for a miracle. A miracle happens and the number 10 appears with Abby. Abby says that Christmas is the most magical time in year.

          Stiller opened the number 10 box and Jennifer Hudson starts to sing ‘Carol of the Bells’ With forest animals.

Elmo and Abby are very happy that Christmas the countdown has begun.

Box number 9 appears on Bert’s window.

Charles Blitzen (CDN TV) reports on how Stiller ruined Christmas and that Christmas doesn’t come this year. Stiller is very sad about it.

Number 8 appears too with Super Grover.

Anne Hathaway sings "I Want a Snuffleupagus for Christmas" with Big Bird and Snuffy.

Stiller is looking for a new job because he thinks he is fired. But at this moment Big Bird brings box number 7.

Tony Sirico and Steve Schirripa tried to play Bert and Erne for ‘The Bert and Ernie Christmas Special’. Bert, Ernie and Prairie Dawn helping them.

Stiller is preparing his apologies. Ernie brings box number 5. But box number 6 is still missing. Elmo is waiting of number 6 and he is very sad. Alicia Keys comes and sings with Elmo ‘Do You Hear What I Hear?’ and then she gives Elmo box number 6.

Charles Blitzen talks again on TV about Stiller and Christmas disaster this year.

Jamie Foxx sings ‘The Nutcracker Suite’ with a Nutcracker Elmoi. Elmoi is dancing with a girl.
Boxes 4, 3 and 2 appeared altogether. Charles Blitzen still insulted Stiller.

Count von Count sings "I Saw Three Ships" with the help of Ty Pennington performing an Extreme Makeover: Christmas Carol Edition. The count isn’t satisfied with 3 sheep and wants more. He enjoys counting sheep.
